James M. O’Neil Memorial Undergraduate Travel and Research Fund

The James M. O’Neil, AB 1950, Memorial Undergraduate Travel and Research Fund was established in 2007 and seeks to enhance the access of Harvard undergraduates to significant international experiences as part of their College education by providing financial assistance to deserving individuals interested in summer or term time opportunities such as research travel, internships, language study, service activities, or study abroad.

Gaining greater global understanding in a changing world and having a significant international or public service experience are goals that the College hopes all undergraduates achieve. The Mignone Center for Career Success is dedicated to educating, advising, and connecting students to opportunities for summer projects like those made possible by the James M. O’Neil Fund, in order to foster their intellectual, social, and personal transformations.

Students who would like to be considered for funding through the James M. O’Neil Memorial Undergraduate Travel and Research Fund and other sources should apply through the funding categories listed on our Summer Planning and Funding homepage. Selected students will be notified, in their award letter, which fund is supporting their experience.
