Drop-in Advising

The Mignone Center for Career Success offers Harvard College undergraduates ten-minute virtual and in-person “ask me anything” drop-in sessions. Log into the queue starting at 1pm (password mcs1).

Thirty-Minute Scheduled Appointments (in person, phone, or Zoom)

Discuss career decisions, summer planning, making connections, interviewing, applying to graduate school, or other questions. Log in to Crimson Careers and click on “advising appointment” on the left to view advisor availability and reserve a time. May 13 – July 30 MCS premed and pre-health advising schedule

Scheduled Appointments:

For 30-minute premed/pre-health appointments with Oona and Rob, log in to Crimson Careers and click on “advising appointment” on the left to view their availability and reserve a time. Premed/Pre-health drop-ins have concluded for the year and will resume in the Fall.

Current medical and other health professions school applicants:

May 13 through the end of June: Individual premed and pre-health 30-minute advising appointments are only open to current medical and other health professions school applicants. (The MCS premed and pre-health team does this every spring to ensure that current applicants get the time-sensitive advising they need. )

July: Current applicants who need advice in July should first turn to your House/Dudley Community premedical tutors, who remain available during the summer to answer questions related to secondary applications, school list, and other questions about the overall application and plans. Also see the Applying to Medical School page on the MCS website, including our “FAQs for Applicants” (under the AMCAS tab). If you have an urgent question about your application that your Premed Tutors or the AMCAS/other primary application support staff cannot answer, please email premed@fas.harvard.edu and one of us will get back to you within one business day.

August: Regular premed/pre-health advising appointments resume.

Premed and Pre-health students (all class years) who are not yet applying to medical/health professions school:

May 13 – July 30: For urgent premed/pre-health questions that cannot wait until August, you are welcome to email us at premed@fas.harvard.edu.

August: Regular premed/pre-health advising appointments resume.
