Firsthand Get Started Guide for Alumni

Quick start tips:

  • Register and complete your profile information.
    • Utilize the “Update with LinkedIn” option to import information from your LinkedIn profile (navigate to your profile for this option even if you have already registered). Once you select “Update with LinkedIn,” you will be directed to a form. You can click “AutoFill with LinkedIn” without filling out any of the fields on the subsequent form. A pop-up will ask for your permission to share information from your LinkedIn profile and complete your advisor profile with information from your LinkedIn profile.
  • Select your preferred days and times for a conversation. Access availability from your profile (edit my profile>availability>edit availability).
    • Students will request a conversation and select 3 possible meeting times. You will have the option to confirm one of the selections or suggest additional availability through the platform.
