Summer AI Engineering Internship  •  2026

AT A GLANCE
Role: AI Engineering Intern
Duration: Summer 2026 (10–12 weeks, with option to continue part-time)
Compensation: Competitive stipend
Location: Remote · NYC metro proximity a plus
Application: internships@sinfonik.com
Keywords: AI / LLMs, Full-Stack, Music Tech, Startup, Paid.

ABOUT SINFONIK
We’re fixing the music licensing industry.
Traditional music licensing is broken. Licensing monopolies collect billions from venues while local artists see almost nothing. Sinfonik is a paradigm shift in licensing with a radical new model.

We work with government Economic Development Officers (EDOs), venues, and artists to build a hyper-local music ecosystem. Our mission: find and empower the most promising musical talent around, help them thrive, and connect them with their audiences. Harvard founder.

WHAT YOU’LL BUILD
Own the AI growth engine — end to end.
You will design, build, and ship real systems with immediate business impact.

 Specifically work on:

🎯  AI A&R Agent
▸   Scrape, discover, and score promising artists automatically
▸   Build outreach pipelines that draft and send personalized contact emails
▸   Tune scoring models using genre fit, engagement signals, and market data

🚀  Artist Onboarding Portal
▸   Design and implement signup flows, digital contract signing, and song metadata upload
▸   Create a clean, fast artist-facing web interface
▸   Integrate with internal data systems and APIs

🎵  Smart Playlist Engine
▸   Build dynamic playlists that match Sinfonik artists to venues based on geography, audience fit, popularity, and venue characteristics
▸   Use zip-code-level data and venue profiles to personalize recommendations
▸   Integrate with our existing Soundcloud presence and licensing infrastructure

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We care far more about what you can build than where you’ve worked. The right person is resourceful, fast-moving, and excited to own something real from day one.

You’ll thrive here if you:
▸   Are studying CS, engineering, or a related field.
▸   Have shipped something e.g. a side project, an open-source tool, anything real.
▸   Are fluent (or becoming fluent) with LLM tooling: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar.
▸   Know how to build with APIs, scraping, and modern web stacks.
▸   Move fast, ask good questions, love interesting problems.
▸   Love music or care about artist economics.

WHY SINFONIK
Founder-level exposure. Path to part-time or full time position.
This is a rare internship where your work will be in production within weeks. You’ll work directly with the founder, make architectural decisions, and build something that artists and venues actually depend on.

▸   Paid summer stipend
▸   Path to a part-time or full-time position for exceptional performers.
▸   Direct mentorship from the founder and access to our network.
▸   Flexible remote work; we care about output, not office hours.
▸   Option to extend as a part-time role during the academic year.
▸   A story to tell: you helped build a company taking on century-old monopolies.
