Summary
Art in Tanzania is a self-sustainable non-profit charity NGO in Tanzania. We have done community-based development work and self-sustainable operations since 1996.

Details
Our NGO Management community-based programs are focused on empowering the local communities and the income generation of individual people.

You experience the daily life and culture in Tanzania while witnessing the growth of one of the fastest-growing African economies.

Students will participate in and develop the daily operations of the NGO.

The work includes monitoring participating students’ weekly plans and reports, making budgets and accounts, developing ongoing community programs, and planning new approaches.

This program is an excellent experience for learning how to work with and develop local communities and working with different community programs.

We commonly have 15-40 students from around the world from over 400 partner universities present.

The internship outcome is to learn to use your studies and experience to work in a developing country’s conditions.

Work hours are 6-8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Your program can be from 2 weeks to 12 months. Commonly, an internship is 2-3 months long. The placement starting dates are flexible.

Academic-level team leaders supervise your internship daily.

We monitor your work with a weekly plan and report system to ensure you proceed well with your tasks.

We can take students in all year round as all programs are ongoing. Your placement is tailored to your background, experience, and interests to empower your daily work with the community.

The typical morning tasks include practical fieldwork in the schools and communities, and afternoons are for planning, reporting, and social media visibility functions.

The Benefits and Perks are as follows:

Accommodation with breakfast and dinner is EUR 175 per week and is a personal expense. However, the cost drops to EUR 125 weekly after the first 13 weeks.

Airport transfers from and to EUR 120 are a personal expense.

A charity student or volunteer VISA is USD 50 and is a personal expense. Less than a 1-year multiple-entry charity VISA is USD 250.

We pay you a USD 100 per month stipend. It is small but 2x Tanzania’s national minimum wage.
Flights are a personal expense.
The local transport program in Tanzania is a personal expense but small if needed.

You and your visiting friends can enjoy low-cost, sustainable tourism, safaris and tours.

We need your tentative arrival and departure date to book you and open your account.
