We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Public Relations Intern to join our team and be mentored. As a Public Relations Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of public relations, including media relations, social media management, and writing/editing. This internship position will provide valuable insights into the field of publicity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Assist in drafting press releases and media pitches-Research outlets for coverage
● Assist in pitching to radio, podcasts, television, influencers, and bloggers.
● Research industry trends
● Assist in research and administrative tasks, as needed
● Assist in researching venues for book events and putting together a book tour
● Support the management of social media platforms and create engaging content
● Research and pitch partners
● Assist in organizing and coordinating events
● Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas for PR campaigns
IDEAL CANDIDATE
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading- Knowledge of media relations practices and
strategies
● Familiarity with social media platforms and their management
● Ability to conduct research and analyze data effectively
● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
● Basic understanding of public relations principles and practices
