Internship Overview and Responsibilities
FXB is seeking two FXB Climate Change interns to contribute to the overall success and impact of FXB’s global climate change work while gaining valuable experience and skills in environmental sustainability and social development.
Key responsibilities may include:
1. Research and Analysis:
– Conduct research on climate change impacts, particularly on vulnerable communities in the regions where FXB operates.
– Analyze data related to climate change trends, adaptation strategies, and mitigation
efforts.
– Compile case studies and best practices on climate resilience projects worldwide.
2. Program Support:
-Support FXB country office staff in monitoring the impact of their climate resilience
initiatives
-Assist in developing and implementing virtual climate change training sessions for FXB staff and youth beneficiaries.
– Support the coordination of virtual events, webinars, and climate change education
and advocacy workshops.
– Assist in preparing educational materials, presentations, and resources for the FXB
Global Network stakeholders.
3. Monitoring and Evaluation:
– Assist in monitoring the progress and impact of climate resilience projects
implemented by FXB country offices and by FXB Climate Advocates participants.
– Collect and analyze feedback from program participants to assess the effectiveness of climate change training and support provided.
– Contribute to preparing reports and presentations documenting the outcomes and
lessons learned from FXB’s climate change initiatives.
4. Collaboration and Networking:
– Liaise with partner organizations, experts, and stakeholders in climate change
adaptation and mitigation efforts.
– Participate in relevant meetings, conferences, and networking events to stay updated on climate change developments and opportunities for collaboration.
– Build relationships with other youth-led organizations and climate action groups to
foster partnerships and exchange knowledge.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
– Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s or master’s program in
environmental science, sustainability, climate change studies, international development, public policy, or a related field.
– Relevant coursework or academic experience in climate change adaptation, mitigation strategies, environmental policy, or community development is preferred.
Skills:
– Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data related to climate change impacts and solutions.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear
and concise reports, presentations, and other written materials.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
– Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in French, is a plus.

– Initiative and self-motivation, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and projects, work independently, and meet deadlines.
