The Mobility Group at GTI Energy is searching for an Intern to support our growing efforts supporting advanced vehicle and fuel technologies. Our group works on vehicles, fueling stations, and clean fuel generation projects associated with hydrogen, renewable natural gas, hybrid, and electric vehicle technologies.

Work Location
The position will be based in the Chicagoland area at the GTI Energy Headquarters. While local candidates are preferred, GTI Energy does provide seasonal housing assistance for the right candidate.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, setup, and execution of lab and field-based testing of emerging transportation technologies, including specification and selection of piloted equipment and the data acquisition system and analysis
- Execute laboratory and field test procedures while complying with all safety protocols
- Assist in organizing rooms for storage and field installation preparation for data acquisition equipment
- Be a “quick study” with new technologies and hands-on laboratory work. Show initiative to identify problems and develop solutions in collaboration with other staff members
- Be an effective communicator with internal and external parties
- Be a multitasker while in the office/lab/field to satisfy ongoing, multiple project needs
- Assist with literature searches on new technologies
- Perform other duties as assigned
