Tell me more:
As a Travel Support Coordinator, you will play an integral role in helping international high school aged students see the world. You will be the frontline of communication for student travelers, their American host families, our International Exchange Coordinators, and our overseas partners. You will work in this customer-service role to ensure all communication channels are both clear and effective. Your outstanding communication and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, superior judgment, and sincere interest in international education will ensure a positive program experience for all participants. No prior airline/travel experience is required.

- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Strong work-ethic, self-accountability, ability to work well both individually and in a team environment
- You don’t subscribe to the phrase “that’s not my job”
- You nail the details and never lose sight of the big picture
- Ability to manage high volumes of phone calls and emails on a daily basis
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing projects and issues
- Ability to communicate diplomatically with diverse program participants
- Willingness to go “the extra mile” to ensure customer satisfaction
- Ability to make and implement decisions and compromises in overall program’s best interest
- Passion for cultural exchange
- Ability to travel a few times a year
Please note this role requires ability to manage a flexible work schedule based on seasonal demands, which includes nighttime hours and weekend scheduling during peak seasons.
About Us
This position’s peak seasons are during the summer and winter for student arrival and departure seasons. During these times, staff vacation may not be permitted and extended weekday hours and weekend coverage may be necessary for emergency phone coverage. During summer student arrival season, this position may offer the opportunity to travel internationally to offer in-person airport support.
This role is eligible for overtime pay. EF offers a full range of medical, dental and other benefits including a 25% match on your 401k. First year staff are provided a generous 3 weeks of vacation. EF High School Exchange Year (HSEY) is a non-profit high school foreign exchange program affiliated with Education First. We bring students from around the world to live with volunteer host families and enroll in local high schools for either one semester or a full academic year.
