We are looking for a Data Science Intern for our team. Someone who is passionate about building from 0 to 1 and creating impact in the healthtech industry. Both co-founders have deep data science and healthcare backgrounds. We enjoy working with people who are passionate about writing algorithms!
Key Responsibilities:
● Ownership of a mission-critical product
● 0 to 1 product development
● Communicating with key stakeholders in the organization
● Passionate about healthcare and compassionate towards solving problems for social impact
Required skills:
● Experience with machine learning and deep learning algorithms (computer vision experience required)
● Conceptual and applied understanding of key machine learning technologies like transformers
● Prior experience in deploying machine learning algorithms
● Collaboration skills for liaising with different stakeholders in understanding their requirements

We are a Boston-based healthtech startup coming out of the Harvard and MIT ecosystem. We use artificial intelligence for better chronic disease management for hospitals and insurance companies.
We have filed a patent on detecting diabetic progression using artificial intelligence, and we are collaborating with Joslin Diabetes Center (the world’s best diabetes treatment center). We are featured extensively in media, including Forbes, NYC Daily Post, the annual report of Harvard, and Nasdaq. Both founders won the 40 under 40 Public Health Catalyst Awards by the Boston Congress of Public Health.

Amber Nigam
Co-founder and CEO
Amber brings a diverse range of experience (aggregate of 10 years) in domains like entrepreneurship, data science, health tech, and ed-tech. He formerly co-founded and sold an ed-tech company, kydots.ai, where he led tech and operations teams as the co-founder and CTO of the company. He is a master’s candidate in Harvard’s Health Data Science program and began with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He is an Associate Director at the largest entrepreneurship club in Harvard (Harvard GSAS Business Club). He is responsible for helping founders with strategy and pitching (their ideas to investors) across the Harvard ecosystem. Amber was recently awarded a 40 under 40 public health catalyst award by the Boston Congress of Public Health.
Amber’s interests and work are grounded in applied data science. For instance, he has been a module instructor at MIT for the course “Collaborative Data Science for Healthcare”. He has been the inventor of 3 patents and his work has been published at some of the top AI conferences like NeurIPS and ACL and by publishers like Springer and Lancet. He is motivated to work on scalable technical solutions and ideas that bring about positive societal change.
Jie Sun
Co-founder and COO
Jie Sun’s career has been rooted in healthcare for the past 10 years. She has a unique blend of experiences in healthcare consulting, pharma, and hospitals. Previously, she worked in both Singapore and France, managing the strategic medical business of Pierre Fabre in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia. Jie has also worked in data science and AI operations at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Mass General Hospital. The broad exposure in the agency, pharma, and provider side of healthcare equips her with the ability to translate healthcare needs into business and data science questions. Jie was recently awarded the 40 under 40 public health catalyst award by the Boston Congress of Public Health.
Jie has a BS in Statistics from the National University of Singapore, and an MS in Health Data Science from Harvard School of Public Health. She is a presenter at the Women in Data Science (WiDS) conference at Cambridge, jointly organized by Harvard, MIT, Stanford, and Microsoft. Jie has also published in journals including the Lancet. Jie is passionate about creating impact by designing better healthcare solutions.
