The Peking University School of Transnational Law (“STL”), a school of Peking University’s Shenzhen Graduate School is recruiting C.V. Starr Lecturers of Law. Peking University is China’s premier university.
Lecturers’ duties are as follows:
- Working collaboratively with other lecturers and the program director to develop and teach demanding and interactive required courses in U.S. legal research, writing, and analysis;
- Regularly meeting with and providing oral and written feedback to students;
- Teaching a 1-credit course in the fourth quarter of the academic year on a topic subject to STL’s needs;
- Teaching in STL’s week-long Summer Honors Program for prospective law students; and
- Fulfilling other faculty responsibilities, such as participating in interviews of prospective students and in thesis defense panels.
Lecturers are invited to be active participants in STL’s academic and curricular life, including participating in faculty workshops, attending faculty meetings, and organizing or participating in co-curricular activities.
C.V. Starr Lecturers’ terms will ordinarily run from August 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. Terms are renewable subject to mutual agreement.
