Boyang Huang – ALM, Finance

Where will you be living next year, and what will you be doing?
Canada, Bermuda, China

What will you be doing?
After seven years of professional experience in real estate and banking, I am enthusiastic about creating social impact in my future career. Following my graduation, I completed a three-week in-person training with Venture for Canada Fellowship Program as a fellow in the 2022 cohort, where my team worked closely with the municipal government on the post-pandemic labor shortage in the hospitality and retail sector in the downtown core. I would continue to leverage my network in the healthcare industry to provide medical services to underprivileged families in China, and I’m excited to explore FinTech/InsurTech opportunities in Bermuda.

What advice do you have for Harvard HES students, now that you have graduated?
Take advantage of the great resources available to you at Harvard – read more books, start a new project, build new connections.

In what ways has your Harvard Extension degree impacted your career?
My Harvard Extension experience gave me strength and confidence in my career development. I found my passion for behavioral economics during my studies with the Extension School and am looking to conduct further research in the field. I engaged in my first case competition with the consulting club. Graduating with a Harvard Extension degree is the start of many new experiences.
