What will be your next step after graduation?
Small Business Owner
Where will you be living?
Between Puerto Rico, Florida, and Massachusetts
In what ways has Harvard Extension School impacted your career and long-term professional goals?
I came here in January of 2023 as a proud young Puerto Rican woman with big dreams and even bigger questions: Would I belong? Could I make it? Last month, I walked away with answers. Amid a time when institutions are being challenged and voices are being tested, I stand firm in who I am: educated, empowered, and unafraid to lead with heart. Having the opportunity to pursue higher education while being a full-time small business owner has been one of the most gratifying experiences I’ve had in my life. Being able to learn so much from my classmates and professors from different backgrounds and industries allowed me to go beyond the norm, and now I’m ready to pursue new ventures and career opportunities.
What advice do you have for HES students now that you have graduated?
At HES, it’s not just a school, it’s a community that will help you grow into the type of professional you can be. Don’t be afraid to ask for guidance; there are always people in your corner who will be happy to help you. Allow yourself to learn from everyone, not just your instructors, but your classmates as well. Harvard gave me more than an education; it gave me mirrors, mentors, and connections that helped me learn so much about different areas and industries.
