Hello! My name is Uyanga, and I’m a senior in Quincy House concentrating in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology. I’m thrilled to be serving as one of your PPL PAFs this year. I grew up in the Washington D.C. area and my academic interests lie at the intersection of stem cell biology and neuroscience. I conduct research in the Arlotta Lab, where I study neurodevelopmental processes using retinal organoids and brain organoids. Beyond the lab, I’m involved in student organizations such as Mission:Brain, Pediatric Cancer Buddies, and club tennis. I also volunteer in the inpatient surgical unit at Boston Children’s Hospital. In my free time, I enjoy running along the Charles River, hiking in New Hampshire, and exploring new coffee shops around Boston. Please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m excited to get to know you and be part of your pre-med experience at Harvard!
