My experience at Harvard Extension School has significantly shaped my career trajectory and long-term professional goals by enhancing my leadership capabilities, broadening my strategic perspective, and equipping me with interdisciplinary skills critical for success in federal law enforcement.
The flexible, rigorous academic programs at Harvard Extension School allowed me to pursue advanced coursework in leadership, management, and public policy while maintaining my demanding role with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Courses in organizational leadership and strategic decision-making directly strengthened my ability to oversee operations, direct assignments for subordinate agents, and manage specialized units, as outlined in my role’s responsibilities. It has provided me the tools to take control of my career trajectory.
What advice do you have for HES students now that you have graduated?
My advice to current HES students is to fully embrace the academic rigor, flexibility, and, most importantly, the incredible people and connections you’ll make in class. These relationships, combined with HES’s resources, can profoundly shape your personal growth.
