What will be your next step after graduation?
Staff Assistant, Harvard Kennedy School

Where will you be living?
Boston, MA

In what ways has Harvard Extension School impacted your career and long-term professional goals?
Harvard Extension School has significantly boosted my confidence in decision-making. I actively apply the knowledge I’ve gained in both my professional and personal life. Although I had relevant experience on my resume, I lacked a Master’s degree, which I considered an insurmountable obstacle. However, this setback motivated me to pursue a Master’s, enabling me to apply for roles with greater responsibilities and financial compensation. This pivotal step has propelled me closer to achieving my dreams.

What advice do you have for HES students now that you have graduated?
Don’t hesitate to embark on your journey! Take the time to connect with your professors and classmates. They are your lifeline and can have a profound impact on your experience. If you have a documented disability, contact the accessibility office as soon as possible. While you may not always need their assistance, it’s always a good idea to have your accommodations set in advance. Personally, I participated in the Management program and found the IO Psych program interesting as well. Reach out to your advisor; they can help you navigate the process. When you come to campus, explore as many different campuses as you can. Finally, take time for yourself and embrace the experience. Before you know it, you’ll be a norm champion, a culture shifter, and “making your dent on the universe.”
