Interest Areas: Business, Consulting, Entrepreneurship
Hi! I’m Mellen Masea, a senior from Kilifi, Kenya, in Eliot House concentrating in Economics with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. At MCS, I’m excited to support students exploring opportunities in consulting and entrepreneurship. On campus, I’ve been involved in climate justice research through the Harvard Radcliffe Institute and the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs. I am a mentor in the Radcliffe Institute’s Emerging Leaders Program and serve on the Radcliffe Student Advisory Board. I also work as a Student Coordinator for the Office for Sustainability’s Resource Efficiency Program.
I interned at McKinsey & Company as a Sophomore Summer Business Analyst and I am currently a Cheng Fellow at the Social Innovation and Change Initiative at Harvard Kennedy School, advancing Nia Yetu, a community-based organization addressing the root causes of child institutionalization in Kenya. Outside of class, I enjoy spending time with friends, traveling, and cooking — especially chapati!
