In what ways has HES impacted your career and long-term professional goals?
My dream is to be able to move to and work out of Italy, and to transition to working more with executives and executive teams. Taking an ALM in I/O Psych at HES is a key ingredient to making that dream come true.
In the interim, my degree has enabled me to fundamentally redefine and reposition our offerings in the space of talent management, succession and performance management, to name a few. I now have the necessary insights and am able to speak with a different level of credibility because of my degree.
What advice do you have for HES students now that you have graduated?
The key decision is to ensure you have a fair idea about what you’re getting yourself into so that you can gauge whether all the hours is something you can realistically fit into your days. Equally importantly is to ensure you have talked with the people around you who will be affected by your absence, and to ensure you manage their expectations. You will need their patience, flexibility and support probably unlike anything else you have done in the past, so ensure you know they are there for you and you for them during it all.
