Hi y’all! My name is Hannah (she/her), and I’m a junior in Quincy House. I’m a first-gen college student from Venus, Pennsylvania (middle-of-nowhere-Pennsyltucky), and I’m planning on studying Neuroscience and Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies. On campus, I’m involved in mental health and Queer advocacy, peer counseling, the visual arts, dance, and public service. I previously conducted neuroscience research at McLean Hospital studying sex differences and PTSD in mice, but am primarily interested in social determinants of mental health and mental illness. I spent my first summer working as a science mentor for Crimson Summer Academy and my second conducting clinical neuroscience research in Hiroshima, Japan through the Reischauer Institute. In my free time, you’ll find me going to every student theatre performance, painting or drawing, playing video games, and checking out new cafes in the Cambridge/Boston area. Feel free to reach out about anything, pre-health-related or not, and I’m so so excited to meet you!! 🙂
