In what ways has HES impacted your career and long-term professional goals?
Harvard Extension School has been instrumental in enabling me to discover my true passion and significantly boost my self-confidence. Through its rigorous academic programs, I delved deeply into critical issues such as human rights, gender equality, and mitigating sexual violence. This immersive educational experience not only broadened my understanding but also empowered me to take actionable steps towards my lifelong aspiration of founding my own NGO. Today, I proudly lead an organization dedicated to these vital causes, a dream realized thanks to the transformative impact of Harvard Extension School.
What advice do you have for HES students now that you have graduated?
My advice to those setting off now is to take full advantage of the amazing professors and immerse yourself in the work. Connect with your peers and spend as much time on campus as possible. During my time at Harvard Extension School, the COVID-19 pandemic limited my on-campus experience, and I feel I missed a significant aspect of belonging to this great institution. Make the most of every opportunity to engage with the vibrant academic community and fully embrace all that Harvard has to offer.
