Concentration: Undeclared (Intended Social Studies)
Interest Areas: International Relations, Global Development, Global Health, Human Rights

Hi! I’m Alex Draghia (He/Him), and I come from Caracal, a small town in Southern Romania. I am a sophomore in Quincy House, planning to concentrate in Social Studies with a secondary in Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights. My academic and professional interests revolve around human rights, multilateral diplomacy, and international development. Before enrolling at the College, I took a gap year, serving as Romania’s Youth Delegate to the United Nations and working with international humanitarian and developmental organizations such as Plan International and American Councils for International Education. On campus, I am involved with the European Conference at HKS, where I run logistics, serve as the co-president of the Romanian Undergraduate Association, and, more recently, as a Course Assistant in the Government Department. This past summer, I was in Belgrade, Serbia, working as an analytical research intern through the Center for European Studies. I look forward to working with you at MCS!
