Climate Analyst Intern at Suyana Climate Insurance — a Harvard-founded insurtech startup using satellite data and AI to make climate protection accessible and affordable across Latin America.
You’ll support the creation of an exposure module that characterizes urban environments in developing countries using machine learning and multi-source data. This work directly enables new insurance products in markets where reliable exposure data is scarce. You’ll apply ML and statistical methods to build urban environment datasets (economic footprints, property values, building characteristics), support field survey design, develop predictive models for extreme weather events, and collaborate with our data science and climate science teams.
This is a remote, part-time or full-time internship requiring a minimum 8-week commitment during Summer 2026. Travel to at least one Latin American country is optional.
