In Person in Adams, MA (2.5 hours from Boston) Housing Provided
The Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum is always looking for interns throughout the school year and the summer months. We are a small, house museum in northwestern Massachusetts. The Museum has a small but dedicated staff of employees and volunteers. We are seeking two motivated individuals willing to help in a variety of multidisciplinary projects.
Projects for this Winter include special exhibit research, summer event calendar, grant preparation and writing, social media production, and local business relationship building.
In order to get the full Museum experience, some public relations, business and day to day operations of running a museum will be integral to the position. Besides a project designed for their own academic development, interns are expected to assist staff with providing tours, working in the gift shop, and interacting with volunteers.

Applicants should be independently motivated, personable, and adaptable to the variety of tasks necessary to work with a small museum. Background in museum studies, public history, communications, events, and community-building preferred, but interest in history (particularly Susan B. Anthony) is all we really need!
There is housing for two students; they would share a room in the museum.
