Studio Management is seeking an exceptional recent grad for a role as Investment Analyst to Managing Partner Alap Shah.
The position will afford the right candidate the opportunity to work alongside Alap and see how an investment firm is run as well as how early-stage startups are ideated and scaled.
Major responsibilities will include
- Financial modeling and research
- New company and new product research
- Market mapping and team building for incubated ventures
- Joining all major calls, taking notes, and taking lead on next steps
- Helping to product manage the internal team of 10+ engineers in building internal financial analysis and monitoring software and an incubated productivity software app
Qualifications

- Strong work ethic and desire to learn and build new skills

- 0-5 years work experience, tech or finance experience is a plus but not required

Studio Management is a data-driven investment firm with focus areas in long-short equity in public markets, early to mid stage VC and internal incubation of startup ideas.
Studio is run by Alap Shah, class of 2003, who was an analyst at Viking Global and Citadel before founding Studio. While Alap was launching Studio, pain points around his financial research workflow while using Bloomberg led him to build his own financial search software. Eventually this software became Sentieo, a business Alap led as CEO, which raised $70MM and grew to 400 employees and 2,000 clients before exiting in a merger with Alpha-Sense in 2022. Alap is also the co-founder and chairman of Thistle, a plant based subscription food-tech startup that has raised $50MM and grown to 1,000 employees.
