Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our research team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, machine learning, and bioinformatics, with a passion for leveraging data to drive scientific discovery and innovation in gene therapy.
Key Duties & Accountabilities:
· Analyze biological and process development datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
· Develop and implement machine learning models to support research and development projects.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including molecular therapeutics, biologists, analytical development, process development, and clinical teams to help design and execute data-driven experiments.
· Create and maintain data pipelines and workflows to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
· Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and visualizations.
· Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, bioinformatics, and biotechnology.
Core Competencies Required:
· BSc with ongoing Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
· Experience in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
· Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
· Experience with bioinformatics tools and databases (e.g., BLAST, Ensembl, NCBI).
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge: Education, Experience, & Skills:
· Familiarity with cloud computing platforms.
· Knowledge of genomic data analysis and next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies.
Travel Commitment:
Solid Biosciences, Charlestown, MA up to 1 time per month
