Baseline Program Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at an accredited university

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship by the company

  • Able to work in a fully remote environment on a part time basis (at least 20-25 hours per week) between August 25-December 5

  • A minimum 3.0 GPA

    Position Overview: At Siemens, we are committed to finding innovative solutions that advance society. We are looking for a passionate and talented Data Engineering and Visualization I ntern to join our team and contribute to building a product-oriented dashboard for our strategy group. The end users of this dashboard could be within the product segment, sales and strategy teams. This role offers the opportunity to engage in both light data engineering and the creation of impactful visualizations, laying the foundation for a critical business tool.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust data pipelines in collaboration with our engineering team

  • Orchestrate seamless integration of multiple data sources and systems

  • Optimize data collection, processing, and storage workflows

  • Establish automated data synchronization processes

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across platforms

  • Maintain data integrity throughout integrated systems

  • Create a dynamic, intuitive dashboard that transforms complex data into actionable insights

  • Implement interactive features that will enhance user experience and foster decision-making

  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Drive continuous improvement through regular feedback and iteration

  • Develop comprehensive documentation for data models and processes

  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for future scalability

  • Research and implement cutting-edge data visualization techniques

  • Propose and develop innovative dashboard features

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics

Requirements :

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Proven experience in Python programming with focus on data pipeline development

  • Strong command of data engineering tools and frameworks (Pandas, NumPy)

  • Proficiency in both SQL and/or NoSQL databases

  • Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts

  • Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power Bl, or similar)

  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and collaborative development platforms (GitHub, Gitlab)

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure is preferred

  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) is preferred

  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail

  • Experience in data modeling and optimization

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights

  • Problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to troubleshooting

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Strong project management and organizational abilities

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

    The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location, as well as degree type and relevant education.
