Main Responsibilities

Assist in conducting analytical experiments to characterize RNA drug substances, including techniques such as NGS, gel electrophoresis, PCR, LC, and MS.

Support development and optimization of analytical methods under guidance from senior scientists.

Collaborate with analytical, RNA product, and process development teams to support project goals.

Accurately document experimental procedures and results in electronic lab notebooks.

Summarize and present data clearly to team members.

Assist with routine lab operations, including reagent preparation and equipment maintenance.

Follow all laboratory safety guidelines and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
About You
Basic Qualifications:

Candidates are required to be enrolled in a PhD or MS university program in Analytical Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical/Biomedical Engineering , or a related discipline.

Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the Internal requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the duration of the co-op/internship.

Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday to Friday for the full duration of the co-op/internship.
Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework or prior lab experience in molecular biology or analytical chemistry.

Familiarity with one or more of the following techniques: DNA/RNA purification, PCR or qPCR, gel electrophoresis (agarose or PAGE), chromatography or LC/MS and Sanger or NGS sequencing (exposure is sufficient)

Basic understanding of RNA/DNA enzymatic reactions.

Strong attention to detail and good record-keeping practices.

Ability to communicate scientific results clearly (written and verbal).

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $35.00 – $ 58.00 hourly. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
