The Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) is an intergovernmental agency which operates under the framework of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). It facilitates co-operation among countries with advanced nuclear technology infrastructures to seek excellence in nuclear safety, technology, science, related environmental and economic matters and law.
The NEA Division of Nuclear Technology Development and Economics (NEA NTE) provides the Secretariat for and implements the program of work of the Committee for Technical and Economic Studies on Nuclear Energy Development and the Fuel Cycle (NDC).
NEA NTE is offering an internship to assist, under the guidance of the Senior Medical Radioisotopes Advisor, in its work related to Radioligand Therapy (RLT) and its potential role in cancer care. This project forms part of a broader NEA initiative to assess healthcare system readiness for RLT adoption, forecast patient benefits over the next decade, and provide actionable policy recommendations to member countries. The internship will require strong analytical and research skills, along with a keen interest in medical radioisotopes, nuclear medicine applications, healthcare innovation, and international policy related to the adoption of new cancer therapies.
Key tasks include:
- Collecting and analyzing data on clinical trials and epidemiological data across OECD member countries.
- Supporting modeling and forecasting of radioisotope supply and demand.
- Conducting research through surveys and questionnaires.
- Drafting reports, policy briefs, and background papers.
Additional Information:
- The internship duration is between 4 and 6 months (renewable up to a total of twelve months) with a EUR 1,000 stipend per month.
