Kūlia Academy is a groundbreaking public charter school in Honolulu and the first school in the nation to offer a fully developed 7-year AI/Data Science pathway for grades 6–12. Our mission is to prepare students not only for college and top STEM careers, but to become confident innovators who can shape the future of technology and society. We are seeking an AI/Data Science & Coding Teacher who is excited to help build the most advanced secondary AI education program in the United States. Instructional Delivery

Teach daily AI/Data Science and Coding lessons using a variety of instructional methods.

Differentiate instruction to support beginners, advanced learners, and students with diverse needs.

Facilitate coding activities, machine learning explorations, robotics challenges, and team-based problem solving.

Provide timely and actionable feedback to support student growth.

Maintain a positive, inclusive, and curiosity-driven learning environment.
Assessment and Evaluation

Administer formative and summative assessments, including project-based evaluations.

Analyze student learning data to guide instructional adjustments.

Document and report student progress clearly and effectively.

Reflect on teaching practices to improve instructional effectiveness.
Collaboration and Professional Development

Work closely with colleagues across the 7-year AI/Data Science pathway to ensure vertical alignment.

Participate in ongoing professional development in AI, data science, coding, and innovative pedagogy.

Stay updated on emerging AI tools, ethical considerations, and educational technology trends.

Contribute to school-wide initiatives, committees, and decision-making processes.
Work Schedule and Expectations
This is a 12-month position with:

3 weeks of vacation, plus Winter break
