The Research Intern will be involved and assist with the organization and maintenance of large collections of specimens (Biobank), assisting with the implementation and analysis of individual research projects that will include measuring biomarkers using ELISA assays and proteomic platforms. This position is ideal for an individual planning a future career in the healthcare profession.

Activities
- Organizing and maintaining an electronic database for all data produced from specified assays.
- Proper labeling, handling, and storage of serum, plasma, DNA, and RNA samples. Maintaining an accurate and updated physical and electronic inventory of all samples.
- Responsible for the retrieval and aliquoting of serum and plasma for various projects and maintaining an accurate inventory.
- Work independently and/or with the research assistant to complete multiple projects for deadlines, addressing several key facets such as sample preparation and maintaining inventory of samples and lab equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
