Research Coordinator, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York City

This research coordinator will contribute to clinical and translational research on asthma and allergy at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine (Manhattan, New York City). The successful candidate will be part of a lively multidisciplinary, NIH-funded research team at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine led by physician scientist, Professor Supinda Bunyavanich. 

This full-time position would be a good fit for an individual interested in medicine, laboratory work, and clinical research because it will involve interaction with patients, study participants, and clinical staff; laboratory work at the bench; and hands-on experience with many aspects of clinical research, including multi-center collaborations. A successful candidate will be self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills, close attention to detail, superb organizational skills, laboratory experience, and a firm commitment to learning, efficient work, communication, and the team effort.

The Mount Sinai Health System is one of the largest health systems in the Northeast, and our medical school has a long-standing history of academic excellence and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit participants for asthma and allergy research studies
  • Coordinate procedures for research participants
  • Collect biosamples from research participants
  • Laboratory work: organize and process biosamples, perform assays
  • Organize study data and regulatory documents
  • Coordinate research activities with lab members and collaborators

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in clinical environments
  • Experience working  in a scientific laboratory
  • Willingness to commit 2 years or more to this position

Preferred

  • Work experience in clinical research
  • Graduate degree in science, medicine, or health
  • Data science skills
  • Experience managing IRBs
