If you’re driven by passion to work in a collaborative environment and solve problems in the manufacturing space, you can thrive with our Packaging team. We seek students to participate in our 3-term rotation Packaging Co-op program that will give you real-life opportunities to work on a variety of projects, like Sweetwater Brewery – see video: https://www.haskell.com/projects/sweetwater-brewery-expansion/

 

Our Packaging team leads all aspects of the development process, from design to manufacturing to project management. Co-ops are given real-life responsibilities through involvement in various activities, initiatives, and exciting assignments with brand name clients. Packaging team co-ops will have a chance to interact with our clients at their manufacturing facilities. The projects vary in complexity and provide good exposure to a wide range of packaging materials and technologies.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Bid packages
  • Bid evaluations
  • Drawing packages
  • Specifications
  • Prepare and maintain databases
  • Assist in project schedule tracking, project accounting, and project status reporting
  • Design packaging lines in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit
  • Develop flow sheets, package and speed matrices
  • Work on complex, automated packaging machinery

Education/Experience: 

  • Engineering Co-Op or Non-engineering College Graduate, preferable in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in an engineering support position preferred

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Packaging or similar engineering
  • Excellent computer skills, including 2D and 3D CAD
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to adjust to changing timelines while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal team skills

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

 

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
