Our Opportunity We are seeking highly motivated Scientists with expertise in Epidemiology, Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene, and/or Environmental Health to join our Health Sciences practice in 2026. We are open to considering applicants across multiple U.S. office locations. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide scientific support on a wide range of projects addressing human health risks associated with environmental, occupational, consumer, and other exposures. You will receive mentorship from senior consultants and have opportunities to work across Exponent’s science and engineering practices, contributing to impactful solutions that make a difference for our clients and communities. As a consultant at Exponent, you will build trusted client relationships grounded in scientific rigor and integrity, and over time, grow your consulting portfolio.

You will be responsible for

  • Conduct ing comprehensive reviews and critical analyses of scientific literature, regulatory standards, guidance documents, and legal case materials.
  • Perform ing targeted literature searches related to specific diseases, exposures, and health outcomes.
  • Contribut ing to the development and authorship of complex technical reports and publications.
  • Manag ing and analyz ing data from project tasks and applied research studies.
  • Organiz ing and maintain ing project-related materials and documentation.
  • Engag ing with clients through remote and in-person interactions, demonstrating professionalism and a thoughtful, client-centered approach .
  • Cultivat ing your professional expertise , leadership capabilities, and contributions to the scientific community.
  • Please note this role does not involve laboratory-based research or testing.

You Will Have The Following Skills And Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Epidemiology , Toxicology , Industrial Hygiene , or Environmental Health .
  • Proven ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively through well-structured writing, precise editing, and thoughtful verbal communication tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple tasks effectively with attention to detail, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Commitment to professional development through scientific publication, presentations, and active participation in professional societies.
  • A collaborative mindset that values diversity of thought and fosters respectful teamwork.
  • Initiative, adaptability, and a passion for applying objective science to solve real-world challenges.
  • Two years of professional experience in research, consulting, or scientific project management acquired after completing a doctoral degree is preferred .
  • Presently legally authorized to work in the United States . No immigration sponsorship or processing required .
