GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
Dr. Anne-Marie Wills is looking to hire a full time research coordinator to work on clinical trials in Parkinson’s disease and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. The ideal candidate would be planning on a future medical or allied health degree, and would be interested in working in clinical research to gain experience and publications prior to going to medical school. A two-year commitment is required. The coordinator must be motivated, organized, and efficient, able to organize schedules, evaluate participants, enter data electronically and respond quickly to emails. Prior clinical research experience is a plus but not required. Ability to program in R is preferred but not required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate and schedule clinical trial visits both in-person and remotely
• Create online advertising, webinars, and video instruction materials
• Maintain documentation for the Institutional Review Board.
• Perform primary data collection at study visits, including questionnaires and limited physiological monitoring.
• Enter all study data into the electronic data capture system.
• Monitor and report adverse events as required by Institutional/federal regulations
• Analyze clinical trial datasets using R or SAS for publication.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Candidate must have strong organizational skills, a willingness and ability to learn, and interest in working with human research participants. Good interpersonal skills, attention to detail, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and handle fluctuating priorities and deadlines, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as with others are required. Prior clinical research experience is a plus but not required. Ability to program in R is preferred but not required.
