The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. Boston University’s Technology Development Office is seeking a Program Coordinator, Entrepreneurship to provide high quality administrative and operational support to a growing team that supports faculty members and trainees to turn innovations into new ventures. Reporting to the Executive Director, Faculty Entrepreneurship, and working closely with the Director, Entrepreneurship Programs and Networks, you will handle the day to day coordination that keeps programs running smoothly scheduling meetings and program sessions, tracking timelines and deliverables, supporting the management of a gap funding program, and serving as a professional point of contact for faculty-led teams and external partners. In this role, you will manage calendars, coordinate meetings and email communications, and take the lead on logistics for workshops, events, programming and other onsite support. You will also build and maintain systems and databases to track participants, program activity, and mentor engagement, helping the team stay organized and able to report on outcomes. A key aspect of the position is maintaining the mentorship network so BU venture teams can connect efficiently with external advisors. This position is a strong fit for someone who is highly organized, detail oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and genuinely interested in innovation and entrepreneurship. You will join the small, collaborative, and fast paced Entrepreneurship Team to support BU innovators and founders and to build and grow BUs entrepreneurial ecosystem.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support planning and execution of entrepreneurship and venture development programs, including scheduling sessions and tracking timelines and deliverables.
  • Provide calendar management, meeting coordination, and email communication support for the Executive Director and Director.
  • Coordinate logistics for events and workshops, including invitations, registration, space/Zoom setup, materials, and on site support. 
  • Maintain tracking tools and databases for participants, program activity, and outcomes to support reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the mentorship network database and assist with mentor venture matching, scheduling introductions, and monitoring engagement.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree with approximately 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with experience managing calendars, meetings, and event logistics.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills; comfort interacting with faculty members, graduate students, administrative colleagues, and external professionals.
  • Experience using basic productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, shared drives, CRM or databases) to manage information and workflows.
  • Genuine interest in innovation, startups, or technology commercialization and enthusiasm for supporting teams doing this work.
