The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Research Project Manager is primarily responsible for the management and administration of federally-funded and other research programs, clinical trials, and training programs related to obstetric, gynecologic, and pediatric health, quality of care, and patient safety. This position is responsible for the training and management of research staff, budgeting and financial management, and oversight and reporting of research protocols to ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished. The Research Project Manager is responsible for identifying methods and monitoring and achieving progress for accomplishing study objectives, directing and participating in data analysis, researching field simulations, creating publications and presentations, reporting on deliverables, and identifying potential project risks and mitigation strategies. This position will be responsible for grants administration and coordination including: development and submission of federal progress reports; facilitating and monitoring compliance with federal grant and individual Departmental requirements; preparing grant budgets and monitoring grant funds; preparing other supporting grant documents, coordinating with grants management and other research units, and monitoring contracts with other agencies including development of SOWs, MOUs and DUAs.
