Details
Art in Tanzania has been operating since 1996. Our community placements attract about 250 participants annually. Our vision is to give students hands-on experience working in developing African communities. In addition to your studies, you will have an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience of African culture and life, as well as fantastic natural scenery and wildlife.
The Anthropology Internship include the following:
Practical community development work in African societies. Working in schools, companies, and various target groups, such as women’s development groups and environmental tasks.
We collaborate with NGO consortia, including UNICEF and the UN, to achieve development targets for Tanzanian society.
You are highlighting the differences between African and Western cultures in terms of human behaviour, cultures, and societies, both past and present.
We are examining the differences in educational systems across various cultures. We can visualise how African culture is depicted in Western societies and how Western cultures affect present and future African culture.
The internship outcome is to apply your studies and experience in a developing country setting.
Work hours are 6 to 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
The program is ongoing, so the start dates are adjustable. Your placement is tailored to your background, experience, and interests, empowering our daily work with the communities.
Daily tasks include practical fieldwork, planning, reporting, and visibility work.
The start and end dates are flexible, as all programs are ongoing, with many having been running since 1996.
You and your visiting friends can enjoy low-cost, sustainable safaris and tours.
