Title: Financial Analyst/Associate
Location: Cambridge, MA

About the Role
Seeking a Financial Analyst/Associate to join American Ag Energy, a fast-growing company in the fields of agriculture and energy, to support its finance efforts. Working directly with the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, this role will involve working on future company financings. This includes preparing presentations, organizing cash-flow projections, risks, and benefits, negotiating financing deals, as well as market research and analysis. The financial associate will work with different departments and project managers to understand the distinct operational details and challenges for each project.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (engineering, economics, mathematics, statistics, chemistry, biology, physics)
  • Previous internship or coop experience
  • Clear analytic, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Must be well-organized and flexible. Need to be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work setting.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly, take initiative, and possess an eagerness to grow.
  • Domestic and international travel as required (<10%).

About the Company
American Ag Energy is in the businesses of Controlled Environment Agriculture, Carbon Sequestration, and Biomass Energy. Currently, the company is building large greenhouses in New Hampshire and Rhode Island, where it will grow vegetables integrated with combined heat and power facilities and CO2 recapture. Additionally, the company is working with multiple companies abroad involved in carbon sequestration and biomass to energy operations. American Ag Energy provides employees with a benefits package including healthcare and 4 weeks’ vacation. Employees at American Ag Energy are given major responsibilities and are supported by experienced management. The company trains its senior employees in all aspects of business management and technology. Hands-on experience is given immediately.
