Find an Internship

Finding an internship requires a proactive approach, utilizing Harvard’s extensive resources and building a strong network. By actively engaging with MCS advisors and resources, networking with alumni and peers, leveraging academic opportunities, and preparing thoroughly and applying strategically, you can enhance your chances of securing a valuable internship experience.

Where to start:

  1. Explore opportunities in Crimson Careers*.
  2. Perfect your resume and cover letter.
  3. Craft your LinkedIn Profile.
  4. Connect with alumni on MCS Firsthand Advisors*.
  5. Attend a career fair or employer networking event.
  6. Talk to an MCS advisor and create a plan!

For international students, consider enhancing your search by using Interstride, which features webinars on visa insights and a job board that highlights H1-B sponsoring employers in the US.

For Harvard College undergraduates, also consider exploring Harvard-Funded summer opportunities (includes research, study abroad and more), and save the date for the Summer Opportunities & Funding Fair.
