How to Onboard for MCS Medical School Application Advising (2025-2026 Cycle)

Welcome to MCS medical school application support and advising! Our workshop series for 2025-26 applicants launched in November 2024 with the Navigating the Medical School Application Process webinar, which some of you attended live. If you were not able to attend, we ask that you view the recording of this webinar, which is protected by HarvardKey (alumni who have not claimed their HarvardKey can register at this link). The handout for the workshop is accessible at this link as well. (If you are applying to other health professions schools like dental or veterinary, be sure to reach out to us so that we can make sure you are oriented to the resources for your application process.)

Overview of the process for 2026 matriculants

In order to gain access to medical (or dental or other health professions) school applicant advising appointments with one of the MCS Premed/Pre-Health advisers (Oona Ceder, Rob Harrington and Chris Gilbert), please be sure to follow along to the end of the webinar and complete the attendance form (if you did not view the webinar live). We also ask that you complete the MCS Intent to Apply form so that we can gain an accurate idea of who is applying this summer. When we receive your forms, you will be ready to book an individual advising appointment with your assigned MCS advisor (Oona, Rob, or Chris). As a reminder, if you have already met with one of us, please continue to schedule your individual 30-minute appointments with the same advisor. If you are new to MCS Premed/Pre-health advising, you will receive an email in spring term with your assignment to one of us. More information on how MCS and your House or Dudley Community Premed Committee and Tutors work with students and alumni planning to apply in the upcoming cycle is included in the webinar presentation.

Also, if you are not already subscribed to the Harvard MCS Med School Applicants List, please do so now so that you will be receiving our emails for 2026 applicants (note that this is the MCS listserv for current applicants, so not the same list as the House premed list you may be subscribed to):

Subscribe at https://web.lists.fas.harvard.edu/mailman/lists/harvardocs-medschool-applicants-list.lists.fas.harvard.edu/ with a @college.harvard.edu address, @post.harvard.edu address, or @alumni.harvard.edu address. Note: If you do not have a @post or @alumni.harvard.edu email address, please email premed@fas.harvard.edu with your name, @college.harvard.edu email, and preferred email so we can verify that you were an undergraduate at Harvard.

Finally, here is the line-up of spring term webinars for 2026 applicants:

We look forward to supporting you as you start preparing your applications and throughout the 2025-26 admissions cycle!
