Consulting Recruiting
Interested in consulting? The three largest general management consulting firms (MBB – McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, and The Boston Consulting Group) will have summer 2023 application deadlines for full-time and summer internship roles that begin in 2024. MBB will be on campus over the next few weeks to connect with current Harvard College sophomores interested in an internship over junior summer or juniors interested in a post-graduate opportunity. They also may be interested in connecting with first-years for sophomore summer opportunities or to stay in touch for future opportunities.
These details are subject to change, and we will continue to share updates when we have them. There are also many other opportunities in the consulting field that will hire on a later timeline, and we will share that information once employers finalize their recruiting plans. Bain & BCG: Application Timeline Notes
Bain & BCG note that students will only be able to apply and be considered once and that they will fill their classes as talent comes in. Given this, MCS suggests applying to the June deadlines assuming that you have researched and connected with alums at the organizations that interest you, prepared your application materials, and will do some initial case interview prep for July interviews.

Case Interview Prep
Case interviews are a unique interview style used by consulting employers that typically presents candidates with an actual business problem to work through. Access the MCS resources below to start case interview prep this spring:
- Case Questions Interactive (free through MCS) – Marc Cosentino, author of Case in Point, has compiled resources and practice cases for students to access online.
- Utilize MCS Firsthand Advisers to request a mock interview from an alum with consulting or related experience, and to access the Vault Guide to Case Interviews.

- MCS Consulting Recruiting: Job and Internship Success Series on April 27th, 3pm-4pm ET: Sophomores and juniors considering future opportunities in consulting are encouraged to attend to learn more about recruiting timelines, applications, and interviews as well as the many types of opportunities available. MCS will present information about the changing consulting recruiting landscape and how to prepare. We will then open it up for questions (which can be asked anonymously). Register to attend.
