Apply for Funding to Cover Travel Costs to Africa through the Vogelheim Hansen Fund

We are happy to announce that applications are now open for the John C. Hansen & Katherine Vogelheim Research and Travel Fund!

This fellowship aids GSAS, Dr.P.H., and undergraduate students planning to travel to Africa for an international experience, and is especially interested in supporting those experiences and projects related to science and health. The Vogelheim Hansen Fund typically covers all travel expenses.   The hope is that the work done by these students will inspire their continued research and future careers.

Students may apply through CARAT. The deadline for applications is Monday, November 28, 5:00pm. If you have any questions or concerns about the application process, please feel free to reach out to gsasacademicprograms@fas.harvard.edu.

Eligibility:

  • Undergraduate Students
  • Graduate Students (Restricted to degree candidates in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and Dr.P.H. candidates in the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.)

Requirements:

  • 1 recommendation letter
  • A detailed budget
  • Current transcript
  • 3-5 page research statement
