Borja Zamora Ramon, ALM Management

Where will you be living next year, and what will you be doing?
San Francisco – I’ll be running my own marketing agency (Zamora Design), which I started last year about halfway into the ALM. We specialize in digital marketing, design, and strategy for tech startups in Silicon Valley, ranging from digital advertising, cryptos/blockchain, AI, self-driving vehicles, and more.

What advice do you have for Harvard HES students, now that you have graduated?
It truly is a life-changing experience, so take it as such. Go all in, work hard, commit, take it seriously and treasure each class, lecture, paper, and personal relationship.

Be proud of what you are doing no matter your stage in life. You will get ahead If you manage to balance work, school, and life, no matter how hard it gets–it will.

Stay humble. A Master’s degree does not make you better than others, not even from Harvard.

In what ways has your Harvard Extension degree impacted your career?
It has given me the confidence to walk into any room and engage anyone in any business conversation, knowing it will not be completely above my head. I can tackle any business decision with expertise or, at least, a good knowledge of the topic. It has given me the confidence to start my own business.

At a personal level, it has taught me discipline, hard work, patience. And an unbreakable will to overcome challenges.
